I read with interest the post on Scholars and Rogues about O’Reilly’s ‘alleged’ racism. Here are some of the black racist remarks that I have heard directly from someone whom I shall call “Chancellor Chestnuts”:
Me: Dear Chancellor, my slave master told me that I was guaranteed a scholarship of $10,000 a semester. The research I am involved in has attracted the attention of another professor, who would like to verify our theory with some experiments. Do you think it would be possible to reduce my tuition, so that I could qualify for instate? That way, I can use the excess money to buy the equipment I need to run the experiment, since the department does not want to assist me.
Chancellor Chestnuts: “In all my years here I have never seen any out of state student get instate; no sir, no how, nooooooo ma’am…”
(Translation: I am not into helping progressive students.)
Me again: Dear Chancellor, the research is on a Harvard link, but my advisor keeps pissing on my efforts, and won’t assist. My white friend is asking me questions like, “why isn’t your research on your own university’s site?” Do you think you can look into the matter?

Thank you for your recent letter and enclosures regarding your contributing article to the American Physical Society Journal. Attempts to contact you by telephone indicated that the number was no longer in service.
Congratulations on your research project. It is always inspiring to hear about the great things our graduates are doing. Please keep me posted on the progress of your research and Harvard.Again, thank you for keeping us informed.
Sincerely,
Chancellor Chestnuts
Chancellor
(Translation: I am not helping you out with this. I don’t help students.)
Me one more time: Dear Chancellor Chestnuts, we think we might be breaking new ground with our research. Don’t you think it would be good for the university to highlight our achievements in the physics department?
Chancellor Chestnuts: Well, this is a liberal arts school, and…
(Translation: These students are niggers as far as I’m concerned, and I sure as hell won’t have anything to do with highlighting any black achievements, especially in physics)
Now, I could be a little off in the translation. But this took course over a period of two years; and this, from the president of a black university in the face of a black student, as O’Reilly might say, not accusing whitey of holding him back.
Now I don’t excuse his racism, but black discrimination is just as bad. Both need to be addressed. But I am sure that the black counterpart of the fabric of American culture will no doubt (justifiably) bitch and whine about O’Reilly, and not talk about their own garbage.
Can somebody PLEASE get me a sit in with Don Imus or O’Reilly?

I still hold that Imus should have been reprimanded, as his tirade was intentional, and blatantly negative. O’Reilly, on the other hand, just showed his ignorance. He’s a racist poet and he doesn’t know it.

Yes Kip I agree. But this is getting WAY too one sided. As a black foreigner, I busted my ass getting ahead, and the rest of my fellow black sheep are still ba’aing and chewing the cud. Somethings got to give.
